At Forvis Mazars, credit cards are crucial for managing travel expenses and other costs, ensuring payments and receipts are quickly captured for client billing. Previously, the accounting team often had to request receipts at the end of the month and manually review credit card statements. This lack of clarity and significant time commitment led to an inefficient and burdensome process for employees, management, and accounting.
"Before Pliant, we had to individually request missing receipts from employees, and there were no features for automatic receipt matching. At the end of each month, we had to break down each credit card statement and manually match transactions, making the entire billing process extremely inflexible and time-consuming," Wundsam recalls.
With Pliant, Forvis Mazars significantly simplified and enhanced the efficiency of its billing process. The ability to issue virtual credit cards for specific purposes and configure card attributes, such as limits, proved particularly valuable.
For business travel expenses, virtual cards are issued to employees and added to Apple Pay or Google Wallet. After a payment is made, the receipt is immediately digitized using the Pliant app and linked to the corresponding transaction.
Automated receipt reminders via email ensure that fewer receipts are missing at the end of the month. This not only simplifies the billing process for employees but also allows for precise and rapid data processing.
Another benefit is the optimized credit card billing: instead of manually checking each card statement and assigning expenses to individual projects, transactions are now automatically aggregated and digitally itemized. This saves time and minimizes errors.
The implementation of Pliant's digital credit card solution saves Forvis Mazars around ten hours per month solely due to the significant efficiency gains in managing card payments.
The previously cumbersome and time-consuming billing process has been greatly simplified through the digital matching of receipts to transactions and Pliant's integration with the BMD accounting system.
